Holiday canning

Being skint on cash this year, I tried my hand at homemade gifts for a few friends and family. This year I decided to go with my homemade spaghetti sauce. It's a hit with my family and a relatively easy recipe to make. I knew I would have to ship some of the jars so I obtained a waterbath (kindly given to me by my mother) and set about trying my hand at canning. Here are the results!

How Would YOU Take Over the World?

Because the world's still turning....

It's been a couple of days since I updated...a hectic couple of days. WE had senior breakfast yesterday. Received my Cap and Gown for Graduation. Three weeks until Graduation and counting. I have so much left to do.

Prom was Friday. Maureen Cherry was prom queen...probably the coolest senior I know. No one expected her to get nominated, and then she ended up winning. Very cool.

Some how I have been sucked into the Pretender fandom... Nancers is trying to get me to write a Pretender/CSI crossover. I'm sorta planning it out in my head, but I want to finish 'the wreckage' series first. That and I promised Bec Bec I would finish 'Chase' series for her. Gotta love JMP backstory.

Oh and if any of you would like to check out the sequel to Among the Ashes...

Had you been a 2003 Best Picture nominee, you would have been Chicago. As "Chicago," are fashionable and clever. Your personality draws in others like a flame does a moth. If others hate you, it is bound to be from jealousy.

Ramblings....

Okay um yea....I haven't written in this in a couple of days...It seems like I only use this thing when I'm in a bad mood....well I guess I'll try and break that trend.

Thursday, my mom got me out of school early and we went and got my hair cut. I was sorta nervous because I haven't had it done in a long time, and my mom was trying to convince me to cut it short. I ended up having nearly four inches cut off...and it's still about two inches below my shoulders.... but so happy I had it done. I really did need it. Even if the hair framing my face is falling in my face all the time, because it won't tuck behind my ears. It's just great...eve better was the fact that I was having the most shitty day, on the verge of faking sick to leave school because I thought I was going to just breakdown and cry, and then my mom gets me out early....a haircut, a much needed day off of work, and CSI made everything all better.

Friday was senior panoramic photos....that was fun. I sat next to Dorian, Joe, Chris, Jade, and Jasmine. Dorian kept complaining that I made her arm numb when I was leaning on it for the silly photo, the one where we got to make stupid faces and things like that. I finally found out what our senior class motto is... "The drugs are bad. The sex is free. We're the class of 2003."

We started watching, "Run, Lola, Run" in German class...we only saw about the first half hour...but it's definitely interesting...Lola's red hair sort of reminds me of Jennifer Garner's hair in the pilot ep of Alias. In fact...the actress who plays Lola, looks a lot like Jennifer Garner...except for the fact that she speaks German and all......No homework in Shafer's class...so glad I don't have any chemistry...

I got myself out of bed for my morning high school bowling league this morning, which made me quite proud...since I haven't wanted, nor had the energy to get myself up, to go, for the last two weeks. I had a lot of fun too, which I didn't think would happen. At work, Mike actually talked to me...which I thought rather odd....especially since, on Wednesday, while the door to the backroom was opening I swear I heard him say something like, "I'm just gonna stop talking to her...she's a crazy braud..man, she's crazy as hell."

I knew he was talking about me...Is it my fault he seems to take things I say way to seriously? The whole situation, which I thought was just a joke between us... he thought I was serious? Bah. So we joked about going to "Red Lobster", once. It wasn't supposed to mean anything....instead he asks me about it, and Beverly tells him to stop harassing me, and then he thinks I told Bev that he was harassing me. Which he was, but I never said that to her. Have I told this guy is like 30 something and married? Ew.

Anyway off of the subject, work....Suzanne offered to switch with me, and let me run the register while she bagged. I hate bagging especially on Saturdays because you have to do all the stuff to get ready for next weeks sales....restock all this stuff , and go outside in the freezing cold to change the signs...not fun. Neal was the other bagger, and he did a lot of the work for her...so we sat around and made fun of celebrities clothes in people magazine since it was slow.

Putting up my new video so Jag can snag it and get me the link to put the link on my website.

Tomorrow I'll clean my room, since I don't have any homework to due for Monday, and maybe work on my paper a bit because it's due next Friday and I work every day this week after school.

Allison: I can't drink this....it's only 35% juice...Dorian you shouldn't drink this..."
Dorian: I like it.
Allison: But it's only 35% juice....you know what your dad said about drinking things that aren't 100% juice....you know what he said... *waggles finger*
Dorian: I remember.....but damnit I want my cranapple! No, damnit I need my minute maid cranapple juice! *takes a big long drink* 35% juice my ass!"

Don't worry about one thing, don't worry about nothing, she said I'm not gonna let this one go.
